This is my desk chair, to go with my fabulous desk I bought back in January. Below, is my desk chair at the point when I bought it.

Its a solid danish midcentury chair (I love midcentury modern!) but the seat was covered in this incredibly beat up dull corduroy. I was originally going to recover it in the same fabric as my curtains because I had extra lying around. My BF is very opinionated (and has very good opinions) about interior design and did not like this idea. Lovely BF that he is, he accompanied me to the fabric store anyhow to buy new foam for the seat, and then gently steered me towards Fulton Fabric (which has a great, cheap selection of drapery and upholstery fabric) where he spotted this geometric barkcloth. I liked it, it was 2.99/yard, and we skipped home.
The next day (Sunday) we set out to recover the seat. I thought it would take half an hour. 5 hours, 1 new staple gun, 1 chocolate mint fudge brownie sundae, and much swearing later, it was done.
Its very comfortable and I'm sitting on it as I type!
