I made this barkcloth jacket last spring, but I'm pretty sure that was pre-blog. Its from a hotpatterns pattern, which I think was inspired by a marc jacobs jacket. Anyway, I wore it last week and was reminded of how much I liked the bustle effect it gets in the back. This of one of the things I've made that has serious imperfections (it was one of my first jackets) but someone always compliments when I wear it out. Here I'm going to work and its paired with a black straight skirt (which I also made) and black knee high boots.
I don't know that I'll get any sewing done this weekend. I'm anticipating the arrival of my new bedroom furniture, and have undertaken both a major clean out (keep, ebay, Salvation Army) and the semiannual "changing of the wardrobe" (winter to the dry cleaners, spring out of the various places I have it stored, ironed, and put away). I will definitely post some pics of the new furniture, but it may be a while until I can get them posted. Right now the OLD furniture is still here, pending the arrival of a buyer (the bf is selling it on craigslist), and thinks will be a bit crowded.
