Presenting... the incredibly festive hostess dress! So very festive that it features cake, wine, chicken, and crab and lobster boils! A whole buffet in a dress. Its been cold here, so I wore it with a sweater, but it has short kimono sleeves under that cardigan, and a slight v back. No one commented on this dress all day. I think it had so much going on that it defied comment. What do you say? I love the dress? Are those crabs? I love crabs too! I commented to the BF - who loves the dress, yet more evidence of how well suited we are - that for normal people, this would be kitschy curtain fabric, not dress fabric. He said it was NOT curtain fabric. I realized he would probably kill me if I tried to put up curtains made of this fabric. So maybe he likes the dress so much because it saved him from the curtains.

I think it's perfect for a vintage-style dress (it's one you made, right?)!

I'm looking forward to more sewing time soon, three cheers for holidays!
