Yet another shirtdress. This is a nice herringbone tweed. Its all shades of grey, but it almost looks blue in the right light. Not that I wear blue, but I can wear almost blue.
I did a full 120" skirt on this one. I've developed a free-form pleating method which works out quite well, and I like the results better than when I just gather.
I'm really loving the shirtdress. So easy, so comfortable, nothing to match or worry about!
This is my last "me" project for a bit. I promised to make some costumes for someone. I'll reveal when they are complete, but since it is for a competition I think I should exercise a teent bit of discretion. I'm making 5 (yes, 5) blue velvet smoking jackets. The pattern - folkwear le smoking - finally arrived today. If I had energy I would start cutting, but it was an exhausting and frazzling day at work. So instead I will do the Times crossword (hey, monday's the easy one).
