Thanks for all the kind comments on the dress, and kind wishes for my marriage! Its less than a month out, and I'm pretty darn excited.

This is a classic Vogue 7975 I actually sewed at the end of last summer and never got around to posting. Its made of a white "burlap" (either syntheic or cotton) I bought from Gorgeous Fabrics (also last summer) and lined in white silk habotai. Its stood me well for two summers now as an all purpose jacket for whenever I need a not quite suit for a work event. Like all my 7975's, I also love wearing it with jeans and a t-shirt.


Its zoomed from Summer to Fall pretty quickly here, so I'm already plotting my Fall sewing! I'm planning to start the closet switch over this weekend, and I'll try and take some pictures of all my Summer Sewing projects while I'm at it!
