I'm alive and well and sewing! For photographic proof, just see all the bottled water in the lower right hand corner of the picture - its from my hurricane preparedness hysteria last week (although, technically I was in an evacuation zone, just not one of the ones actually evacuated).
A lot has been going on. In the last 8 months or so I've:
1) Gotten engaged (to someone really, really fantastic)
2) Planned a wedding (with much help from Mr Fantastic!)
3) Sewed a wedding dress
4) Moved
Through it all I have been sewing, but I just haven't had time to update. The dress in the photo is a little retro-50s dress I whipped up last week out of a beautiful cityscape print I bought from EmmaOneSock last summer. Excuse the wrinkles - I took this photo at the end of the day. The top has princess seams which I really like, and then I just free-formed a skirt onto it. A quick little project.
There will be more, including photos of the wedding dress (although that will be post-wedding)!
