I finished the blue dress. This is my project for the SewRetro sewalong, but since people actually READ that site, I'm going to try and get a better photo to post there.
THis was my first time doing a notched collar
I had this amazing aha! moment when I figured out how all the pieces fit, which was immensely satisfying. I also learned how to make a kick pleat.
The dress itself... it will fit better with a bigger bra, but the top is meant to be blousy (it has front pleats, not darts), which may not be the best fit for someone of my "small stature". Overall, I'm pretty pleased though.

that fabric is great! Looks like a job well done with the sewing too, you have to love dresses that shape, I wish I had the right shape for a straight skirt, you look fab in it! Looking forward to seeing it again on Sew Retro!
