I love vintage, but Brooklyn's thrift stores are pretty picked over (never thought I'd miss state college, but State College Women's Club Thrift, oh how I miss you). I've been sewing a lot recently from patterns of my own design, when I had a brilliant though:
Vintage pattern (off ebay) + retro fabric (from reprodepot) = nouveau vintage
the first one is a coral pink with little punch outs, kind of like eyelet but a lot less girly.

This is a really lightweight, gauzy cotton. I made a v-neck. I'm not as big a fan of this one - the pattern or its weight; i really prefer my cotton thicker and stiffer - but I had the fabric lyi
ng around.
