Here's a better picture of me in the coat. all bundled up for the january weather! I usually pair it with elbow length knit cashmere gloves to keep my arms warm and a big scarf. The scarf is actually a bit of a sewing project: I really wanted a leopard print scarf last fall, but didn't see one I liked that was remotely reasonably priced. Emmaonesock has this beautiful leopard wool challis. I bough a yard, sliced it in half, and sewed the two pieces end to end with a french seam, keeping the selvedge for the edges. I staystitched about a half inch from the edge all around and then let the edges fray. Its a very long scarf and I usually wrap it around twice for warmth.
Here's the jacket I made to match the (off grain) dress. Its the same vintage banded collar jacket I've made a few times, but I added a third button hole. I also interfaced the edges of the sleeves. In all my previous versions the sleeve edges have really crumpled, I think because they hit right at the elbow and get smooshed a lot. Hopefully the interfacing will help these hold up better!

This is a pencil skirt I made before christmas. Plain and simple, but I really liked the plaid - from the Ralph collection on fabric.com. I must have 30+ of those hotpatterns pencil skirts - I
ve really gotten my money from this one!

Love it all. You look fab in your coat.
All of your new pieces scream you! That's what I love about your sewing...it so emphasizes your style! Although I have to say that I hope you were showing that much later in the week than earlier because it was C-O-L-D at the beginning of last week and you make me look like the weinie that I am when it comes to cold weather! *LOL*
Those are all very nice garments. Love that blue coat!
I love all these outfits! You have a similar body to mine and I also love pencil type skirts. You look great!
