I'm working on this little suit, in black boucle with a leopard spot collar (the leopard is faux, and leftover from a little chubby I made myself last winter). Yesterday I went to Mood and found this incredibly soft boucle knit. Last spring I made myself a swingy (Artful Dodger swing jacket from Hotpatterns) spring jacket in this amazing lilac wool boucle. However, the weave was really loose, the jacket snagged on everything, and after 2 months of wear it looked pretty beat up. This boucle, however, is much tighter (and also synthetic), and seems to be more snag resistant.

I'm going to replace the pleat-front skirt with a darted-front straight skirt. Also, upon closed examination, I realized that the pattern provides for a snap-on overcollar. So I decided to make the entire jacket in the black boucle, with an optional snap-on leopard collar - that way I can wear the entire suit seriously, or snap on the leopard collar and make the jacket a little more fun.
